Page Structure and SEO
Place your important content near the top of your webpage. Search engines tend to place higher importance on the text at the top of your webpage than text at the bottom of your page.
As we've mentioned before, search engines also place greater emphasis on text contained in heading tags, hypertext links and larger font sizes so be sure to use your keywords or key phrases with these in mind. Don't hide your important keywords in Flash animation or in graphics.
Search engine spiders see the entire code for your webpage, not just the visible text. Therefore, it's important to minimize the amount of javascript, other code and graphics files near the top of your webpage since your keywords and key phrases may be undervalued.
For optimum search engine results, keep your layout simple. Place your keywords and key phrases in the first paragraph or two of your webpages. Use keywords in headings and in hypertext links. And finally, incorporate your keywords in larger fonts where appropriate.
