TIPS

Search Engine Optimization Timeframe

Changes you make to your website today may not have an impact on search engine results for six to twelve weeks, so be patient.

When optimizing your site it's important to conduct a thorough keyword analysis. Also, check to see what your competition is doing with respect to keywords and site content. Then, with this information, you will need to incorporate the new keywords into your site content, page titles, meta descriptions etc. Next, be patient and monitor your keyword search results in the search engine rankings. If you are new to this, give yourself two to three weeks for learning, competitive review, analysis and on-page site optimization.

While you are waiting for the search engines to index your latest website updates, consider off-page site optimization. Examine how many sites link to yours. Try to get your site listed in as many "authority" sites as possible - association sites, directories etc. This too, is a time consuming endeavour. Be patient and don't give up.

Search engine optimization is not an immediate solution, but over time it will provide positive results.
